7-10-25 THOUGHTS
When you have a volunteer leadership with their only authority coming from a mutual love... that love had better mean something. Self-centeredness has no place in this system. Shepherd and sheep alike must live in AGAPE LOVE. Christ is the head of this living environment. God expects us to make it work. Verses 20 -21 are so awesomely powerful! Read those two verses at least 10 times today. Put them on your refrigerator for a month or year. God-Christ-Us... are here in a supplied relationship. God’s will in us because of Jesus is the idea. That which is “pleasing in His sight” is our goal! Glory to God in Christ Jesus... forever!
Heb 13:17-21 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you. 18 Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things. 19 And I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you the sooner. 20 Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, 21 equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
A Prayer:
Glory be to You, O God, in Christ Jesus, forever and ever, Amen. May we always live according to Your will and instruction. Thank You for being our God of peace. Thank You for the “blood of the eternal covenant”! Thank You for the great “Bringing Up” in His resurrection.
We know that You have “granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness,”. Being so “equipped”, may we respond powerfully and humbly as light and salt in a most needy world. In the name of our Great Shepherd, Amen.
